Bible Study Assistant (AdventShare)
Terms of Service
1. Purpose and acceptance
Bible Study Assistant (AdventShare) provides Bible-study courses, WhatsApp-based learning, and tools that help registered Media Evangelists invite and support learners. Use of the service is voluntary. These Terms govern the use of those features. Choosing Start in WhatsApp indicates that you want to begin the study; it is not a separate legal waiver. The Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled.
2. Respectful and voluntary participation
Bible studies present Christian teaching and are intended for personal exploration, learning and faith development. Learners are free to accept or decline an invitation, choose how to study, and discontinue participation. No person should be pressured, harassed or misled into participating or changing their religious beliefs.
3. Media Evangelist accounts and invitations
Registered Media Evangelists must provide appropriate account details, safeguard sign-in and phone-verification codes, and use invitations responsibly. Do not send repeated unwanted invitations, spam people, impersonate others, or imply that a message comes from someone else.
A sharing link or invitation does not itself enrol a recipient in a Bible study. The recipient chooses whether to begin through the available WhatsApp study process. Sharing an invitation is subject to WhatsApp's own rules and the recipient's preferences.
4. Learner information and follow-up
Any learner information made available to a Media Evangelist must be used solely for permitted study support and appropriate follow-up. Do not publish, sell, forward, export for unrelated purposes, or misuse learner information. Do not contact a learner for an unrelated purpose simply because you can view study progress. Additional Media Evangelist confidentiality rules may apply through the service's Companion Terms.
Follow-up requests are voluntary. When a learner requests further contact, authorised personnel should use the supplied information only to respond to that request and should respect a later request to stop contact.
5. Courses, age versions and study records
A course may have a General version and optional versions adapted for Teens, Young Adults or Adults. These are descriptions of the intended audience, not verification of a user's age or a restriction on who may study. Available lessons, questions, media and course structure may change when content is reviewed or updated by authorised administrators.
The system may record progress, answers and completion information to enable continuation and certificates. A certificate reflects completion under the rules of the particular course; it is not a formal academic qualification or accreditation unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. Content and acceptable use
You may read, listen to and share material through features provided for that purpose. Do not upload malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, misuse another person's account, or distribute study content in a way that violates applicable rights or laws. Where you contribute information or questions, you remain responsible for not including another person's private information without an appropriate basis.
7. Messaging, third-party services and availability
The service depends on internet connectivity and, for some functions, WhatsApp/Meta, mobile networks, SMS providers and optional external AI services. These third parties have their own terms and may apply network or data charges. We cannot guarantee message-delivery times, uninterrupted service, or availability of every optional feature.
AI-generated responses, where available, are supplementary study assistance and may contain errors. Participants should consult the biblical material and seek clarification from appropriate human leaders where needed.
8. Younger participants
Some Bible studies are tailored to teenagers. Parents or guardians should be involved when required by applicable law or appropriate to the learner's circumstances. Media Evangelists and other users must take particular care to respect the privacy, safety and dignity of younger learners.
9. Accounts, restrictions and termination
We may suspend or restrict an account where necessary to prevent misuse, protect personal information, address security concerns or comply with legal obligations. Media Evangelists may request account deletion. Such deletion ends their access and disables their existing invitations but does not, by itself, erase independent learner study histories. Learners may request deletion of their own records separately.
10. Changes, privacy and contact
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The current published version and its effective date will be shown on this page. If a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it as required.
